Will
her selfishness stand in the way of making a family? She is outspoken,
attractive, and too independent. Life is good for Tamara Hightower. Girlfriend
takes no shortcuts when it comes to looking good and her life revolves
around frequenting the local mall, partying with girlfriends and making
guest appearances at work, where she barely holds down a position as a
marketing executive.
Such a laid-back
lifestyle contradicts the fact that Tamara has a child, one whom was left
behind with his father as a toddler. And not once did this sister ever
look back.
Three years
later, Tamara finds herself unwillingly reunited with her son when slapped
with a child support and custody order by his father, Sheldon Harris. During
the process of resurrecting Tamara’s suppressed maternal tendencies, Sheldon
stirs up other mixed feelings in spite of the several years that already
passed.
But then there’s
the kid: Junior. A fresh-mouthed, spoiled and precocious brat, he comes
on the scene and completely blows Tamara’s spot, turning her once- perfect
world completely upside down.
A startling
turn of events sends Tamara into immediate self - reflection. Laugh,
cry, and share in Tamara’s confusion as she travels an up-and-down roller
coaster toward gaining balance in both her personal and professional lives.
